Roxilla

This time last week, I was frantically throwing stuff into boxes, getting myself into a frenzy of stress and struggling to force non-obliging cats into their baskets by bribing them with catmint. Moving is sheer hell – there is no other way to put it. But somewhere between doing the inspection and having my first glass of bubbly in my new cottage, something had happened… I had fallen head over heels for my gorgeous new home.

I have become one of those annoying people who make smug tweets and upload glossed over pics to Instagram. Even with boxes still all over the show, I want to clap my hands and giggle in total glee as I pinch myself to make sure that this amazing place is mine. Spot lights on the ceiling, oregan door frames and doors, huge terracotta tiles, grey living room, a bathroom to die for… and space. SO much space. My living room seems so empty – I need huge comfy couches! And a shaggy rug too! Oooh, all my paintings look so nice against the grey! Oh em gee, I think I just died and went to heaven in my shower. It would be quite blind if I wasn’t so blissful.

Anyway, I could go on and on in this vain forever. But I will spare you the crazy gushes about corner baths and gardens. Instead, I will share some pics of my awesome new home. Be warned, you may hate on me a bit. If it’s any consolation, I pretty much sold any chance of free time to afford this place. But it is totally worth it. You will soon see why…
