I am going to suffer hugely this coming week… because, after about a year and half away from kicking ass, I am finally going back to Muaythai tomorrow. I’m very excited, have been wanting to go back for such a long time and am really looking forward to getting back into a proper regime! Now that I am 30 and all that, I think that it’s even more important to be active, fit and happy and finding something that you really enjoy doing makes all the difference in the world.
@ChristopherM has been blogging about his new 21 day challenge over at iMod, and I plan to do something similar. While winter has not quite begun properly and we have a good long cold spell ahead of us, summer rolls around again all too quickly. I have seven months to whip myself into shape, basically. The great thing about Muaythai (and all power-based activities – especially martial arts) is that you get results fairly quickly. It is impossible to do 2-3 classes a week (where you will jump rope, jog on the spot, kick, punch, elbow knee, spar, do pushups/situps/lunges/squats/stabilisers and such other tortuous things) and NOT see results. Because you feel so great, you are more active too – besides that, I worry about bulking up on the muscle front so I always tried to run as well as train.
To be realistic and to ensure that I do my best to manage to keep up, I’m going to take it month by month. I will post my progress as I go along, and see how it goes.
Tonight, I plan to enjoy the last day of unhardcore Rox – pizza, work, chillax. Tomorrow it begins… the first day of the Back to Hardcore challenge!

Ye, make the most of tonight!
Just in from my jog, taking strain after last night, but feel I got rid of the excess alcohol by sweating
Awesome man, jogging is great like that!
Followed by an insane 30 minutes of tennis, I honestly didn’t think my body could handle this, I’m stoked!
Good luck for tomz, I’ll be online in case you need to moan about pains
YAY – sounds like a productive day indeed!
Gloves and whatnot all packed, still can’t find card but should have me on system still so all good.
Amped!!
