The ex and I used to love playing this game, especially after a few drinks. Today’s letter is W, for Weird Windy Wednesday and all the rather strange things that have happened today.

Highlights include the following…

* Wind

What possessed me to wear my yellow dress today, I don’t know but I can tell you that trying to walk up hill, dash across busy roads, hold down your dress with both hands and hold grocery bags and prevent your handbag from being blown off your shoulder is not as easy as you would have thought. Tomorrow, I’m wearing jeans, leggings or shorts!

* Weird

This afternoon we had a clown in our building. Not the fun type (if there is in fact a fun type, they are all evil and terrible as far as I’m concerned) but a demonic looking type with balloons and a camera crew. Two of the girls in my office were accosted in the ladies bathroom, and then this spawn of satan and his entourage made his way outside onto Park Road and then Kloof. We got to watch as tourists, nannies and children screamed – it was funnier watching it from two stories up, behind the safety of our floor to ceiling windows but I was very glad they had gone by the time 5pm arrived.

* Wine

After all of this, not to mention a frustrating morning at work, I am very glad I could come home to a nice chilled glass of Chenin Blanc. I think that they will go very nicely with my wasabi peanuts

* Wonderful

I’ve been in a good mood today, despite the weirdness. I booked my haircut, one of my hot neighbours was down in the parking lot working on his bike, shirt off. My back has been more fine today than it has in a long time and I slept well enough to feel good. Plus I got some lavender oil for my bath tonight, which should help even more. To round off my zen, Debra came and did her thing so my flat is nice and clean and calm. All in all, plenty to smile about.
