Current Obsessions

Today has been too dreary and icky to even mention, so instead I thought I’d share some of my current favourite things…

1. Vitamin Water

I don’t care if it really is healthy of not, or that it’s made by Coca Cola, I love this stuff and completely believe in its magical powers. Pink vitamin water especially makes everything more bouncy, and I need to have this stuff at least once or thrice a week to survive.

2. Nivea

Happy Time body lotion, Visage face products, Pearl Beauty deo and creme oil body wash… I love it all. The way it smells, the way it feels, the affordable price – it’s just a damn good range, and I love it long time.

3. Turquoise

I am adoring turquoise knitwear, bed linen, satin throws, bracelets and just about anything else. Even though it clashes with the pink, I still love adding touches of this beautiful summery colour to my lounge – and it looks just right. Light or bright, this colour catches my eye in a big way.

4. Law & Order

While the Robot Chicken version was arguably almost better than the real thing, I am still a huge fan of Law & Order. Special Victims Unit (SVU) and the orginal ones are the best, while Criminal Attempt kinda sucks. I’ve been a fan since I was a kid, and yet again this was largely due to my early thing for hot cops. Whatever the case, this show has it all – riveting plots, a fair bit of action, and court room drama. Plus, the endings are never what you think they will be, and all too often leave you with something to mull over.

5. Green Tea and Jasmine

Much as I am completely unable to start my day without strong coffee, green tea and jasmine is something that never fails to sooth and revive. For me it’s a comfort thing… the soft fragrance of jasmine, and the subtle blend of flavours is combined with an awesome antioxidant boost. Perfect for a late afternoon zen pick up!

Watching an Indian wedding on Isidingo, which was filled with drama and a near call off, I couldn’t help but get a lump in my throat. Happy endings always seem so poignant, and in real life the chances of things going the way you hope they will go are always so fleeting. I guess we just need a little bit of faith, and a good dash of hope. Things have a way of turning out for the best, sometimes we just need to remember that.
