Wintery Wednesday in the City

Wet and wintery Long Street

Slowly but surely a sense of peace has descended, and these past few days I’ve felt more back to my old self than I have in ages. Reconnected with my old self and the city as such.

Today my sister and I spent the day on Long Street, which ended up being a weird and wonderful day filled with bead shop missions, coffee and later drinks at Lola’s, errands, an array of old friends and typical wacky characters, laughs, bitterly cold weather and some much-needed sister bonding time.

Finishing off tonight with some lovely Merlot, all the stress of these past few weeks has just about melted away, and I’m feeling ready for the month ahead. I still don’t know what lies on store for me this year, but there are some potentially interesting possibilities on the horizon, and I’m excited to explore as much as I can.

Whatever happens though, I’m no longer going to allow shit to hold me back and keep me down. I’ve wasted enough time and energy stressing over stuff that isn’t worth the worry, and now it’s time to learn how to dance in the rain.

And on that note, I have too much air in my glass and a cat doing its best to claw me off my chair… think it’s time to head couchside!
