Promenade: stunning!
Restored, revived, rejuvenated. That pretty much sums up how this weekend has been for me. It’s really been a good one, like the way weekends used to be for me… a nice mixture of party, chillax, productivity, work and fitness.
After my awesome night out on Friday, I intended to have a good, relaxing day yesterday getting some work done and rebooting. I managed to catch Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the afternoon, man that movie is too cool for school – the series had NOTHING on that 90′s classic! Yesterday evening I played with my portfolio a bit, caught up on some other online stuff and had a very entertaining chat for hours. Attempted to watch the Richard Gere on etv, but managed halfway before I crashed.
Slept well for the first time in a week or so, then went for a morning run on the promenade, which was really good. It’s been a long time since I was able to run, and I’m very relieved to announce that the knee managed just fine – it’s no more stiff than it is after a walk home from work, which is great. The weather was just right when we ran, there was sea spray coming over the railings and a beautiful crisp feeling. It was really, really good, just what I needed!
Now I’m enjoying some coffee and going to catch up on the Isidingo episodes I missed in the week, then do some work, and then I am going to finally get some lounge shifting done. And maybe have a nap after that if I feel like it. Because it’s the weekend and all, you know.
I think that this weekend is going to be just what I need to start next week on a positive, refreshed note, and with a St. Paddy’s Day bash among other things to look forward to, I think it will be a good week.
I hope everyone has had a good weekend too!
A good amble on the prom always restores my Zen to…fekkin’ hell I’m missing CT today!
It’s lovely around that area – feeling so much better!
Shame chick, hope the weather isn’t too bad in London!
That sounds like a rad weekend! I spent the weekend in North Wales, it was so stunning, I even got slightly burnt.
Oh wow, that sounds stunning!
Hope your week gets off to a good start – no lab accidents or mayhem!
