The star of the show, always!
Well, last night was loads of fun, not feeling all that great today though!
We started off at Neighbourhood for dinner, a few Patrons and some bubbly (JC le Roux pinot-noir – very yummy, thanks DT!), then we headed over to Waiting Room.
After some of the ladies in our party left, we decided to go back to the hood… only to rock up there to find them closing! It was a shock of note, and a very sad reminder that this stupid ‘soft target’ WC liquor license really is starting to affect us. Or maybe they just messed up with their own permit, who knows! Anyway, we decided to head over to Asoka, which was packed and showing no signs of closing. I managed one more drink and then I had an epic fade – and I’m glad I did too, I feel fragile enough having left relatively early, and with the amount of work I need to get through this weekend, hangovers are the last thing I need!
Now I have to consider an epic shop mission, and then My Girl is coming on etv at 13h55 – figure my hangover should be done after that, then I can get stuck into work. Tomorrow will be a solid work day, big deadline for Monday, joy!
To Partner in Crime, DT and the rest of you – thanks chicks for a good night out!
shouldn’t that be partner in crime that’s getting the shout-out and bigupz.
i could be wrong though.
Doh, you are very right. Will edit.
anyway rhe post is titled ugh – so i’m sure her alt-ego understands – ‘crime and the city solution’
Haha, indeed.
soundss like an awesome night
It was loads of fun – best way to end off a rough week!
Hope you had a good weekend too!
tomorrow being today, how is the hangover and the parcel of work progressing?
never ever liked that journalistic word deadline – always preferred ‘it’s due’ – just a random thought.
I didn’t go out last night, so feeling pretty chipper today.
And the workload is going ok – I always find deadline appropriate, it’s so morbid and menacing.
watching bad sunday afternoon tv, employee of the month, just started – it’s actually funnier with the sound off.
‘a slacker gets his act together to impress a colleague who is only interested in successful men. he soon finds himself in competition with an ambitious co-worker.’
should also start some work but i just don’t have the heart for it now, no co-worker’s to impress i guess is the real problem
I’m saving myself for Benicio del Toro and Clive Owen in Sin City tonight – going to try and get as much done as possible so I can also catch an hour of Kung Fu Hustle before the main event.
And try freelancing, the only people I have to impress are clients.
will probably watch a little bit of sin city
It’s my all time favourite movie – nothing will keep me from watching, even if I have to work through the whole night to make up for it.
Is that Patron cafe stuff any good? It sounds so weird!
It is DIVINE. Seriously, imagine the tequila kick with a delicious coffee liqueur taste… it’s a bit on the pricey side, but absolutely worth it!
I’m totally trying it! Sounds dangerous… = awesome!
Nectar of the gods I tell ya – and for some reason men don’t seem to get the same benefits. To me though, that stuff is like gummi berry juice.
