Best. Tummy. Ever.
It’s been a rough week, but somehow a few little comforts have kept me from losing the plots. It really is the small things in life that count – these little comforts can so often go unnoticed, but really do brighten things up.
Here are my little comforts this week:
1. My cat Tiger and his big fat tummy. There is nothing, and I mean nothing, like a fat cat with a nice tummy. When I’m feeling like I can’t breath from stress, I go and lie on my bed for a minute, and Tiger comes and rolls around next to me and bites my feet.
2. Green tea and jasmine. I hardly ever drink coffee lately, and this epic green tea mix has gotten me through a good few long nights and longer days. It’s soothing, fragrant and comforting, and it is also yummy and healthy, can’t go wrong with that.
3. My awesome friends and my mom. For all of you who had the misfortune of listening to my stress-crazed rants this week, thank you for not hanging up on me or ignoring me. And as for my mom, thank you for calming me down when I call you in a panic. You always know what to say. Thanks also to all of you who left comments on my zombie post – much appreciated!
4. Seth vs. Randall. I laughed like anything when I saw @Dolce_SA’s tweet about the battle between 2Oceansvibe’s Seth and Idols’ Randall. I’d been following the saga, and today’s installment made me laugh like hell.
5. Biz-Community domain FAIL. I had another good laugh when I went over to Biz-Community just now… to see that they forgot to renew their domain. Classic stuff.
There have been other small things, including my cats having a fight on top of my biggest cabinet… the one with all my wine glasses in it, which is now their latest hang out spot. Weird animals, but they do make me laugh.
I have a bit of a breather before tomorrow, when the next phase of this epic project starts. I am going to watch The Apprentice final, and veg out as much as I can while I have the chance.
Then tomorrow is another day, and I’ll take it head on and roll with it.
Looks like you had plenty to brighten up your day Rox.
I guess I’m just trying to look on the bright side – it’s too easy to let deadlines and stuff suck us in, and just thinking about these little things make me feel calmer.
oh dear re: biz-com. Hilarious.
And what a cute tummy!
Having Green Tea as part of your diet: That’s just smart. I have had problems in the past with the taste of it (probably due to not preparing it right), but when it is prepared good, I do find it just as soothing. If I can’t get a hold of a good cup of it, I usually get it in other ways (in pill or patch form). That way @ least I can still benefit from it’s active ingredients as part of my daily health plan.
@Dolce – the weird thing is that they are back up… but without the hyphen. And as for that tummy, I love it to bits!
@Little Green Pill – I love the taste of green tea luckily, and for me it’s a health as well as comfort thing. But thanks for sharing the link.
