And Now For The Good News

Amidst all this chaos, one good thing has happened – I am able to cycle again!

I am going slow and only doing 15-20 minute spurts on my exercise bike, but so far I was able to cycle without my knee acting up yesterday and today.

This is a HUGE relief – will have to be careful, and am resting the knee whenever I can and doing the compress thing, but if it gets through the week I may, just maybe be able to try a bit of a jog.

I cannot stand not being active, it makes me depressed as hell, so I am really happy to be able to do some light cycling. Yayness.

    Yay! Glad to hear it. I get depressed without exercise too. Which is a problem seeing as my body is battered and broken.

    @Po – shame man, limitations suck. Especially when there’s something you love doing so much, running in my case; climbing in yours. Maybe we should both try something ‘safe’ like Pilates, lol.

    @Kyk – thanks man, would you believe I made it in Paint! My Photoshop crashed again, but managed just fine. I like the ‘home made’ vibe. :-)

    Excellent news about the knee then!

    Just stay away from jogging on the road while your knee still isn’t 100% though. Ask me all about it! :( The treadmill is a far safer option if you HAVE to jog, even if it is a lot more boring than out on the open road! :)

    Thanks Craig – I think it will be at least another week or three before I will risk a run. Even the cycling is going very slowly, and if it even twinges I will stop.

    Knee injuries are no joke, even if my one is not that serious – not resting properly and ignoring the injury is a one way ticket to knee problems!
