Time for some sick, twisted awesomness!

Dexter: too cool for medical school

Right, I’ve been working for 12 hours now and other than a quick Isidingo break, I haven’t spent any quality time with my couch and my new favourite obsession… Dexter.

Thanks to 302, who put me on to this warped tale of a sociopath serial killer with a heart of gold, I have been hooked on this series. The character is brilliant, with his expressions and hilarious narration, and while it’s pretty grim sometimes, a show about a blood splatter analyst who kills bad people can never be dull.

I have to add that Michael C Hall is not too bad on the eye either – he does emotionless far better than Keanu, which says a lot, and he has a cute smile (forced or not). Just saying.

I have just finished season one, and tonight I’m going to watch a bit of season two – then time for bed, good chance I’ll be up at the crack of dawn for a 06h30 run tomorrow.

keanu in the day the earth stood still is pretty good.
u have to watch his eyes and shoulders to get the intended emotion.
    dexter…brilliant writing…great characters..
i especially like the bald cop…that guy is constantly on edge!

Keanu kicked ass in Johnny Mnemonic and Point Break, and for me that was about it. He plays a robot well, so the Johnny Mnemonic role was ideal as he may well as have been one.

Yes, Dexter is brilliant – Michael C Hall has the most intense range of subtle expressions, it’s amazing. Just as it would be if a person who doesn’t feel the expressions but knows how to make them in all the right places, very cool.

As for bald cop, if you mean bad-ass black one, he’s awesome too – season 2 he really gets interesting!

The other bald dude is classic too, in fact the whole cast is brilliant.
