The Cutest Kitten In The World aka Panda
I just can’t quite believe 2008 is over already, the last week – or month rather – has gone past so quickly that my time warp has reached new levels of warpedness!
Having just got back this afternoon from my little holiday in Piketberg, I am still feeling a bit dazed. I will upload my holiday photos and do a write up on my epic holidy at some point soon, but in the meantime it’s time for a quick New Years post…
This year I have decided to do things a bit differently. Instead of making plans and setting goals and expectations, I am going to go with the flow and see what the universe has in store for me. This includes work, play, love, and just about all areas of my life, and obviously is within reason, but the main thing is for me to stop trying to control things, and to open myself up to new adventures and opportunities.
I learned a number of hard lessons last year, and from everything that’s happened, I have realised that I have spent an awful lot of time setting goals and planning my life away. There’s nothing wrong with this, but not everything I planned to do actually happened.
Last year was the year that I finally came into my own, so to speak. I achieved a number of personal and professional milestones and I got over a lot of hurdles. It wasn’t the easiest year, but I stood strong and I grew up a bit.
So this year is going to be a year of adventures and new experiences and expanding myself on all levels. I started the year on a good note with a haircut a few days before New Year, and I’m feeling very excited and optimistic about what 2009 will hold.
All in all, I can’t wait to get this year started! I hope everyone had a great holiday, and look forward to a brand new year of blogging!
Welcome back my friend! Your hair looks Fabulous!!!!
I agree with you totally, I think sometimes it is best to just go with the flow. I think we spend too much time trying to figure out what we are supposed to be doing and then feeling anxious when nothing goes according to plan. There is plenty of good stuff around and it is there for the taking!
Thanks hun! You’re right, we do tend to spend too much time stressing and whatnot – and as we both know, often it’s the impulsive times that end up being the most rewarding!
This year I just want to see what’s in store for me, and have a year filled with fun and enriching experiences.
happy 2009! don’t have too much more to say at this point feeling a bit frayed at the edges this morning all that non alcoholic beer has done me in.
and let me 2nd the nice new hairstyle.
Thanks 302!
NICE HAIR!
Thanks hun, you should see it when it’s all straight with the fringe – tres Pulp Fiction, hehe.
