Festive Cheer: I Haz It

Well, kinda. To be honest, I think I am in denial. I have been working right up until today, and time has just totally gone into warp mode. Nevertheless, my Christmas tree is up and I have the usual seasonal fun of stopping the cats eating it and / or knocking it over.

It’s been quite a weekend, today I have had about 3 or 4 hours sleep and I am pretty exhausted. In my current ‘work hard, play hard’ state the only way I seem to relax these days is by going out, as it happens I’m not the only one who has this attitude so this evening will be spent enjoying the last office ‘kelp gang’ party of the year. It’s actually kinda sad, and I don’t know how I will manage to be away from things over the holidays – much as I always relish my time in the little chaotic wonderland of Piketberg, this time it feels a bit hard to go away.

Oh well, I am still excited to start getting my holiday on. We are going up to fetch my sister tomorrow, will see the kittens again for the first time in ages, which will be great. Then my sister will be staying with me til just past Christmas, and I will go back with her for a few days til just after New Year. Should be an interesting one this year, and overall looking forward to a bit of chillax.

Now I have to try and figure out how I am going to get to the shops in this blasted weather, joy.

Hope you have a great time Rox. :-)

As far as kitties and trees go, I know what you mean – at some point in the festive season Tigger always tries to climb the tree at least once. As it is, it’s leaning against the fall after a tumble at the moment – so before the big family do on Christmas I have to go and redecorate the tree!

I’ll do it, just not now – it’s too hot to think straight at the moment never mind play with tinsel.

God knows 20008 hasn’t exactly been kind to us, so let’s make 2009 the year :)
