Fabulously Frivolous Fridays

Lickety Split showing us how its done

So here we are again… it feels like it’s been a month or so since last Friday, so much has happened in the space of a week, it’s insane.

Nevertheless, Friday is here again, and it’s a lovely day here in Cape Town, with lots to look forward to this weekend.

Here’s a run-down of what’s making me smile today:

1. I had a very cool impromptu evening last night, DT and I went for a quick one after work and the boy managed to get down from Pretoria for a bit to join us before he left again to go to Joburg – then Blade showed up for the second half
2. It’s another super hot day today, the sun is shining and despite a bit of wind this evening should be just about right weather-wise
3. We have a nice night planned for tonight, sadly no boy as he is in Boston til Monday, but who needs boys anyway right
4. My bruised knee is finally almost healed, for the first time last night it didn’t hurt much at all
5. It’s going to be a busy few days ahead on the work-front, but slowly starting to wrap things up for the year
6. I had a good sleep and am finally feeling a bit more down to earth after the madness of the last week
7. It’s Christmas in less than a week, and after that I will be going up to Piketberg until just after New Year
8. I am in a very good mood, in fact I have been in a good mood since last week Friday
9. I’m listening to some Roxette, it helps me work
10. My mojo is back in a big way, as are my zen levels and my confidence levels and my fabulousness levels

Seriously, I am really feeling great and excited about what this next year has in store. So much potential, and so much to be thankful for, and a new start with a fresh new perspective. This has been the year I finally ‘grew up’ and found myself, and while it hasn’t been the easiest one, I am finally feeling like I have arrived. It’s a good feeling. :-)

Hope everyone has a kickass Friday, and an awesome weekend!

MY LITTLE PONY! I used to have one almost exactly like that. Pity about the boy, but never mind, there is always music and Champagne! It is a gorgeous day and you definitely are quite fabulous my friend ;-)

    Thanks DT! ;-)

We shall just have a rocking girls night, and get hit on by 15 years olds and stuff, hehehe.

Thanks Louisa – it was a great night, got home around 4h30ish and woke up at about 7am as I had some work to get through… and seem to have some sort of tummy bug on top of the hangover, but hopefully will clear up soon!

Hope you had a good one too!
