Talking of hot…
I’m not even the fun kind of hot and bothered, I’m just in the midst of this Cape Town heatwave. I am lucky enough to live in the ideal flat in summer – it’s always much cooler than most places, even without the fan on – but it’s still hot!!
I went for a mission to the shops just now, it wasn’t even 10am and the heat was in full swing. The air is so hazy that you can barely see the mountain, and Spar was filled with workers and tourists, cutting queues and looking a bit melted.
For added fun today, I have been sneezing ever since I woke up. I hope that it’s just my sinuses again, been feeling a bit on / off for a while now but nothing ever happens. The last thing I need right now is a cold though, and my glands are a bit tender as well, so am not taking chances.
In other news, I am slowly starting to get my thoughts in order and I am feeling a lot more focused now. This doesn’t change much, but I am starting to feel better about everything, which helps a lot.
Right, I need chocolate. I hope everyone is having a good Monday – and here’s hoping that this week brings some change, fresh perspective, zen and positive vibes.
Good to see you’re feeling a bit more chipper today Rox…I was really worried about you yesterday. I was going to try and find out where to send you some chocolate to cheer you up, but it looks like you’ve got that covered?

I wish I was hot and sweaty right now. The ground is covered in frost and the thought of leaving the house intimidating!
