Popples doing their thang
I borrowed the Popples from Frivolous Fridays, need an extra boost today and these retarded little popping things really rocked my world when I was young, so they bring back good memories.
This week is going too quickly, and time has now lost all meaning whatsoever – all there is now is just hours, too little of them. I have gotten a lot done already, and it’s all good… but once again I couldn’t make it to class yesterday due to heavy workloads, and I feel like I am either coming down with a cold or this damn sinusitis is causing me to feel like this.
Despite this, I am making a valiant effort to look on the bright side…
1. It’s a lovely day in town, bit hot but I’m really enjoying summer in a big way
2. I’m hopefully going for a late lunch today, and if I get enough work done before I go then I may indulge in an ‘olive’* at the Daily Deli
3. Although I actually feel like beer and pizza at Zula, and bugger the diet
4. It’s girls’ night on Saturday, we’re going to Deco Dance for a much-delayed and extremely needed night of fun, mayhem, good music and dolling up
5. I’m trying very hard to think of another good thing to add, but I’m too tired and ugh to come up with anything
I need more coffee and I can hear a cat ripping something up somewhere, I swear they know exactly when I am least wanting to deal with badly behaved pets, bloody animals have been driving me insane this week.
* If you haven’t been to the Daily Deli, ‘olives’ are the coding system for drinks. Sneaky but cool, love it.
Talking of Wacky Wednesday, I could really do with a Steers burger right now!
Hehehehe!
That ad is so typical old skool Steers by the way, prefer the one with the ‘I will survive’ song, that one was funny.
Ah yes, I remember that ad as well
Popples! I freaking love that show.
I had three cups of coffee before 11 am to stay awake at work. Is this normal?
Yes, I often have to have 3 cups just to rouse enough energy to get up in the first place.
Depends though, sometimes I’m not tired and then I’m ok. You’re still in the hellish ’1st week’ phase, so you need to get used to it all.
