Monday Madness

December 1st, 2008

Loving the tree vibe

I can’t believe Monday is almost over, the day has just flown past. I was feeling slightly fuzzy this morning after a really good night out at the US/SA Blogger Bash (more on that in a bit) and I have had like 50 million things to do. Time management is not fun at all!

So, on to last night. I had the pleasure of enjoying some balcony chillax at Rafikis before the main event with My Video legend Tristan, and at 8ish we walked down to Asoka, where the blogger bash was held.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, and it turned out to be one of the most interesting nights in a while. I was utterly delighted to see old friend Dolce, who oddly enough I had last seen at my 25th birthday party at Asoka. Also in attendance was Kyk Noord, Blade, Matthew Buckland, Nic Haralambous, the extremely awesome Marcel the Magician dude (who made me a rose from a paper napkin – which I promptly stuck down my strapless dress) and a range of other bloggers from Cape Town and of course the states.

I had some chats with a number of really inspiring and interesting people, I tried to look sober for Brandon and his ever-present camera (can’t wait to see how those pictures came out, lol) I networked and shmoozed and generally had a really good time.

Now I am taking a bit of a breather before I carry on working. After a busy morning, I spent most of the afternoon submitting press releases to various newswire services – man what a mission! It was MUCH easier sending out to online magazines, submitting is always a big shlep.

To add to the Monday fun, for some bizarre reason my Skype has booted me out, and it appears that I had to re-register. Just as I had thought, when I tried to register, my user name has already been taken (by me before they booted me out!) so now I am pretty much buggered. I use skype for work a bit, and if I can’t login or get my account back then I don’t know.

It’s cool that you get to meet South African bloggers. I never meant to be such a South African blog lurker, they were just easy to find via amatomu, and now I think it would be so cool to meet some bloggers!

I love blogger bashes – it’s really interesting to see the ‘who’s who’ behind the blogs.

You should find out if they are any bloggers in your hood, otherwise if you’re ever visiting here we will throw a special one in your honour, hehe. :-)
