It’s dry…

Finally starting to feel a bit of chillax hit me, thanks to a great evening yesterday. The rain kinda messed up our intentions of drinking in the street at the Harfield Street Festival, so we went to Rascal’s instead to meet up with some friends.

Rascal’s is such a great little pub – one of those traditional, dark and dingy proper pubs with a relaxed vibe and good music. We stayed for a few drinks and had a lot of good conversation, and I got to re-connect with my best friends which was awesome.

After Rascal’s we made a stop at Fat Cactus for some delicious Mexican food and another drink. I have loved this place for many years, and their food is always good. I didn’t see the resident cat, but otherwise it was just as busy and vibey as it always is.

Got home fairly early, crashed and I managed to wake up this morning sans hangover, feeling relaxed and ready to get some work done so I can go off the the US / SA Blogger Bash this evening. Probably going to go for pre-drinks beforehand, so it should be a nice evening to look forward to I reckon.

In other zen boosting news, after class yesterday I took myself off for some retail therapy… got myself a Pleasures giftset which came with body lotion and fragrance, for the same price that the Pleasures Intense that I was about to get before I noticed the giftsets. I love Pleasures, it’s a lovely, pretty summery fragrance and makes me smile when I wear it.

All in all, I am starting to feel a bit more human again and maybe there is hope for me yet and I won’t end up a bitter workaholic with no life. Here’s hoping anyway!
