Looking pretty hot in this old skool shot
I was watching Joaquin Phoenix fight fires and stuff in the soppy ‘Disney for big boys’ mess that is Ladder 49, and was trying to decide if this former A-star turned dyslexic quitter is hot… or not.
And now we have the clear ‘not’ vibe
In Ladder 49 he looks like a card-carrying r-tard, complete with weird facial expression and those intense frowns that don’t do him or his hair lip justice at all. In some other movies though, especially The Yards, he manages to make his features work for him and he pulls of a sultry, moody old film star vibe.
I think that he had the potential for hotness, maybe old age and hard drinking kinda lost that charm though.
What do you think, has he ever been hot or is it just me who digs that James Dean 50′s hell-raiser vibe?

It’s sad hey, if Brad, George, Johhny, Hugh Jackman, Nigel Barker and all of them can keep it together in their prime, then I don’t see why Joaquin can’t ether.
How can the man possibly be hot with such a sissyboy name? Now if he had the manly man’s name of Craig, then he’d be hot, no questions asked.

But River Phoenix was VERY hot, and his name was even sillier.
