I’m Loving… Porcupine Ridge Sav Blanc

Nice

Gosh, it’s been so long since I last had wine. Er, brought wine for home that is. But it’s Thursday, and after a rough start my week is finally looking up, so getting a nice wine was imperative.

Boekenhoutskloof Porcupine Ridge Sauvignon Blanc 2008 is one of my favourite wines, for its easy drinking, crisp notes and not least its screw top lid. I’m so over corks, even the plastic ones – screw tops make life way easier.

One thing I have to note is that it’s not a good idea to pump music like Bryan Adams and notable mope music when you’re drinking wine, it makes one get that restless feeling which is not conductive to good zen at all.

I have a lot of stuff sifting through my head at the moment, not all light and fluffy, and mope music just doesn’t help things at all. Too much thinking, not good!

Bring on the weekend, I need to let loose and cause some mayhem – and with a Halloween party in the works among other fun things, it’s set to be a raucous one indeed. Nice.

I’ve been loving my Beyerskloof Pinotage lately, as you know I’m a red wine fan. I don’t think I’ve actually tried the Sauv Blanc that you’ve mentioned, I should pick up a bottle!

This isn’t Beyerskloof, the estate is Boekenhoutskloof… but I’ve heard the Porcupine Ridge reds are also good.

Sorry, lol… got confused when you mentioned the other brand. I only had about 3 or 4 hours sleep on Saturday night, so brain wasn’t working too well yesterday. :-)
