Yaaawn!

It’s not even 10h00 PM and I am totally and utterly finished… man what a day. What a week actually!

In the effort to force myself back to fighting fit level, I have been working out for about an hour each day. So this morning I had a fairly good session on my trusty exercise bike, and this evening my running partner and I hit the promenade to catch the last rays of sunshine and enjoy a fresh seaside run.

It was seriously amazing, the common was full of cute boys playing soccer, dogs, families, couples, old people and other runners, with a great vibe in the air. Summer is totally on its way, and even though the wind was a bit hectic, it didn’t detract from the amazing sea views and sounds of waves, gulls and dogs.

After our run, we headed past Aris Souvlaki to indulge my craving for falafel, and went back to my friends’ place while her boyfriend went to get their sushi. A few Family Guy episodes finalised a great evening, and now I am home and hardly able to keep my eyes open.

I love being active, but I always forget how tired you get at night, like whole-body tiredness… it’s hectic. I am going to see if I can stay up to watch The O.C at least, then it’s a hot bath to ease my aching muscles and Club Duvet for me.

I hope everyone is amped for Friday, I sure am!

Mine is more of a headachey, grumpy tired Friday mid-morning yawn – and no coffee until I get up and go to the shop to get milk. Ugh.

  3. 302 says:

mine is that stretch your arms and see what the day has install for you kind of yaawn.

and so far it’s just work, numbers, work – a real yaawn.

stop for a double machiato which’ll sort you right out on this rather lovely morning and then get the milk.

shouldn’t there be a tap for hot water, for cold water and one for milk in your kitchen.

There should also be wine taps, and coffee taps, and endless chocolate dispensaries.

I’ll get there eventually, in the meantime will have some green tea… not quite as comforting, but it does the job a bit.
