Not that I ever need a reason to post marvelous manly men, but today I needed a bit of a zen boost so decided to go all out and do a whole collection of the most marvelously manly men I’ve seen in a while…
1. The Perennial Favourite: Freddie
Freddie remains the hottest of the hottest (although Becks has given him a good run for his money) and not just because of his fancy ball skills. He makes the Euro Cup worth watching in a big way, and he has a cool panther tat on his hip. I say no more!
2. The Former Child Wizard All Grown Up: Daniel Radcliffe
DanRad just seems to get better and better the older he gets. I have to admit that toyboys do have a certain appeal, although older guys generally have the better er, vibe and whatnot too. Still, he’s hot so what the hell.
3. The Hot Ghostbuster: Jared Padalecki
It’s very, very hard to choose which brother is hotter, as Jensen Ackles is pretty damn fine, but Jared has something extra about him, and I prefer his character in Supernatural, so he wins.
4. The Hot Moody Geek – Adam Brody
I’m totally behind in the series thanks to no Mnet, but The O.C is probably one of my all time favourite shows, like ever. I got very into it last year, and then bloody SABC took it off. I was overjoyed when it finally returned this week, at the arbest hour of 11pm I might add, but at least it’s back. Seth Cohen is such a great character, and he’s just so damn adorable and moody, love that.
5. The Darkly Brooding Intellectual – Gael Garcia Bernal
I saw this boy waaay back in the day in his break out movie, Y tu mamá también, and I knew even then he was the shizniz. That olive skin, beautiful eyes, perfect features… and that dark, intense vibe, never fails to impress.
6. The Hot Evil One – Hayden Christensen
I always fall for this type – that evil gleam is on a par with dimples, and you just know that his naughty smile is going to get you into trouble. Maybe it was just played such a badass like Darth Vader, but Hayden just has the whole evil hotness vibe down pat, and it’s smoking!
7. The Hottest Hero Ever – Milo Ventimiglia
All I can say is, he can save my life any time! He looks much better off the set, without that naff hairstyle, and of course he looks even better half-clothed. All in all, I’d much rather be rescued by Milo than by some over-sized bat in a rubber suit.
8. The One Who Looks Hot in Every Role – Viggo Mortensen
Lord of the Rings, G.I Jane, The Perfect Murder, Hidalgo… it don’t matter what movie he’s in, Viggo will make it hot. This is how sugar daddies should be, tall, perfect features, slight smirk, that tilt of the head… he’s hot, and he knows it. But because he’s not a young lad all fired up and full of himself, he also has that calm and cool vibe, which is the hottest thing of all.
I could go on and on forever, but I’ll leave it at the top 8 for now. I feel so much better by the way, posting hotties is so good for the zen!
