Tasty Torsos are all very well, but I’ve decided to be less shallow and look at the whole package (no, not that package) and take a look at one Marvelous Manly Man each month who kicks serious ass on a wider scale.

So, this month was no contest, Nigel Barker is the MMMM winner for April. Here’s why…

With his British and Sri Lanka mix, and his earlier modeling career, and that build… not to mention the jawline, he could give Becks a run for his money. He has a faaar better accent and voice too, even if he doesn’t have ink (that we can see) and there are no torso pics of him. He’s a family man, with a stunning wife of 13 years, and a son. Plus he’s low-key and not OTT.

He’s a highly talented photographer, as well as judge on my favourite show of all time, America’s Next Top Model. Sadly, bloody ETV have put on Cheaters instead of ANTM, but it should be back soon. It better be.

Anyway, this is all minor in comparison to the factor that makes Nigel the all-round knock-out MMMM winner – his work for the seals and The Humane Society to stop the Canadian Seal Hunt.

I posted earlier this week on Nigel working with the The Humane Society in Canada to document the hunt to raise awareness and put pressure on the Canadian government as well as the EU to impose the ban on seal products from this hunt by showing that the hunt was far from humane and regulated.

The Humane Society recently made a video that has Nigel talking about his views on the hunt. I think that his quote below sums up what makes him a worthy Marvelous Manly Man of the Month…
