Being a HUGE Corne and Twakkie fan, I just adore Rob van Vuuren. He’s brilliant as the continually side-lined Twakkie, but he’s also a shit hot theater director… which is why I’m lank amped to go see his latest production, ‘Swazi’.

Cape Town, February 2008: Swazi gives a glimpse at the somewhat quirky life story of Mark Elderkin. Born and raised in the Majestic Kingdom of Swaziland, he leaves for the South African boarding school ‘system’ to become a choir boy, and returns to his homeland eight years later. Something has changed but he can’t figure out exactly what!

Sounds like a winner to me! I haven’t been to the Intimate Theatre, but have heard it rocks, so will do my best to go and check it out this month.
