Ah, the joys of running in the City Bowl. Never a dull moment, what with hills, wind, garbage, exhaust fumes, car guards, and of course, bergies.

Er, ok I wasn’t actually dressed like this
Today I decided I needed to pound pavement, and had a pretty damn good run, even extended my route a bit, which is why I got back near the end of my route a bit later than usual. After 6h30, the bergies tend to come out of their boxes, a lot like cockroaches come to think of it. Anyhow, so as I was coming up the hill (walking I have to admit, my calves were giving out a bit) I noticed these two dodgies kinda looking back and idling around, crossing over when I did, usual dodgy behaviour etc. So, as I had been planning to pop in at my sis to pick something up anyway, and she lives just a hill or two away from where I was, I decided to sprint there at full speed. Up a hill of a pavement so steep there are hand railings. I got to her gate, wacked that buzzer and had gotten inside before those dudes had turned the corner, lol, but damn – my mouth went numb, I felt like I was about to throw up and my blood was pumping hectically.
I should actually thank them, that was one of the most hectic dashes I’ve done in ages, even if I could have just bared my scabby knuckles at them instead. Perhaps when I start doing weapons training I can attach a broad sword to my back, that would also work.
Sjoe, talking about pushing yourself babes! Take is a little easier, else you’re guna be tired and emo and tune me about my taste in tunes
Dude, going for a run after being cooped up in an office all day isn’t pushing myself. It’s a good way to relax actually, and getting my blood going is good for me.
P.S. I’d still tune you about those tunes regardless of being tired or not, hehehe.
Sheesh! Glad you’re okay Rox…I thought for sure that you would have kicked their asses!
That kind of flight or fight situation sure does get the blood pumping though. Yesterday, we were driving back from the beach and some a-hole tried to push me off the road…”fun”. (I think he may have been drunk or something?). I had my cousin in the car with me, and this guy really freaked us out. Complete nutcase!
Sheesh, that’s scary stuff hey! Glad you’re ok too, that could have turned nasty.
I think that our brains just go into fright mode, perhaps also being female, my fight instincts aren’t as strong? It’s weird, I did feel a bit un-hardcore afterwards, lol.
