I also think it's great that it hasn't gone mainstream, but at the same time you don't have to be gay to go there and have fun. It's pretty lowkey, which is cool. In my party days, my boyfriend at the time (who was a DJ) played a set at Angels, and I went with a guy friend of mine to support him... fuckin hell - we spent the entire few hours we were there clutching hands in a corner of the dancefloor, defending ourselves from hardcores and canning ourselves at the pretty boys watching themselves dancing in front of the mirror, it was mad! I'm a bit past the clubbing phase, but Bronx was around when I was in that phase (when everything else has closed, it used to be the one club you could count on to still be open).
