Seether: Rox Gets Converted

I was inspired by Shoezilla’s awesome movie review to add a review section. Our reviews really do kick ass, as does everything we do. Because we kick ass – duh!

Ahem. So anyway, I have recently discovered Seether. Or rather, I came across One Cold Night, which totally changed my opinion of them and I have had it on almost non-stop since I found it. This is quite a feat, as my work tunes run into the hundred thousands. In fact, I don’t even know how many songs I have.

One Cold Night is basically Seether in concert, kinda like an unplugged thing. Almost all the tracks are good, but I love Plastic Man, Broken (which mercifully doesn’t have Amy Lee warbling away and is therefore a damn good song), Immortality (Pearl Jam cover that does Eddy Veder proud), The Gift (both acoustic and non-acoustic versions) and Fine Again. I like comfort music that I can put on and tune out the world. As anyone who has read Rox in the City will know, I am a die hard Def Leppard fan. I also love Guns ‘n Roses, and Aerosmith. I like a lot of stuff, but until now, I always thought Seether was one of those generic bands that all sound the same. This album rox though, like seriously.

hmmm – stopped listening when they changed their name from Saron Gas. maybe i’ll give this new album you pimping a shot. My taste runs a bit to the metal and heavier though ;P

Hehe, well mine runs to rock and cheesier, so you never know!
